A slip of the tongue caused MSNBC’s Steve Kornacki to have an on-air misfire as he pivoted to cover the latest development in the case of Bill Cosby.
The disgraced comedian appeared in court in Norristown, Pennsylvania earlier today, where it was determined at the preliminary hearing that he would stand trial for allegedly drugging and raping a woman in 2004. This is one of many accusations Cosby faces from women who claim he sexually assaulted them throughout his life.
Kornacki led viewers in just as Cosby was set to arrive, but he got the wrong “Bill” as he spoke:
“Right now out of Pennsylvania, Bill Clinton is set to arrive at a suburban––excuse me, Bill Cosby is set to arrive at a suburban Philadelphia courthouse any moment now for a key hearing in his criminal sex assault case.”
Clinton has been appearing on his wife’s presidential campaign recently, and he has been the subject of Donald Trump‘s latest attacks against them both. The mogul has been slamming them with old allegations of the former president’s sexual misconduct, which might have caused Kornacki’s Freudian slip.
