Witness at California Shooting Describes Gunman: ‘He Looked Like He Knew What He Was Doing’
A survivor of the mass shooting at a Thousand Oaks, California bar that killed 13 spoke out in an emotional interview on Fox & Friends Thursday morning.
Teylor Whittler, who was at the country music bar to celebrate her 21st birthday, said she was on the dance floor when she first heard shots.
“It was this taller man with a gun shooting multiple people,” she said. “We all just kind of froze for a split second, and then everyone booked it, and dove to the floor.”
Whittler explained that the crowd then began running for an exit, and she was caught on the floor and trampled on. She was eventually lifted up by a man who told her to run.
“I went with 11 friends, so far we’ve only found six of them,” Whittler said. “We don’t know where the other ones are, we don’t know if they’re OK or not.”
Whittler said the gunman first shot the security guard of the bar, she then saw two more people drop before she jumped to the floor.
“As soon as he walked in he had perfect form,” said Whittler, who added she grew up in a military family. “He looked like he knew what he was doing.”
Whittler added the gun was a black semi-automatic pistol that looked like a .40 caliber.
