Jon Stewart set his sights on New York Governor Andrew Cuomo tonight for declaring year ago he would be rooting out the “Shitman’s Sampler of corruption” in New York… only to keep his own corruption panel from getting too close to investigating him.
And Cuomo justified this, in part, by saying it would be a conflict of interest for a panel appointed by the executive and looking into the legislature to suddenly investigate the executive branch. Stewart simply replied, “You know that’s fucking ridiculous, right?”
He concluded by warning Cuomo that there are two halls New York governors end up in, “shame and fame, and one of them is very crowded.”
