Remember when it took Donald Trump a weirdly long time to disavow the endorsement from former KKK grad wizard David Duke? Well, his spokesperson, Hope Hicks, made decent time today in distancing the campaign from a delegate who said that Hillary Clinton should be shot. If this were any other election, this wouldn’t be newsworthy, but welcome to 2016.
Trump spox Hope Hicks: “Mr. Trump and the campaign do not agree,” that Clinton should be executed by firing squad. https://t.co/IWprpg2X1c

Earlier today, New Hampshire lawmaker Al Baldasaro compared Clinton’s Benghazi scandal to Jane Fonda‘s Vietnam scandal, then claimed that she should be “put in the firing line and shot for treason.” Baldasaro is an adviser and delegate for the Trump campaign.
Hicks told the Washington Post that her boss and his campaign “do not agree” with that statement.
Good to know.
