Iraq War Vet Rep. Scott Taylor: Trump’s Military Parade Should be Cancelled, ‘We’re Still at War’

The Pentagon announced last night that they’re postponing President Trump‘s military parade, but former Navy SEAL Scott Taylor (R-VA) says the idea should just be scrapped altogether.

The congressman gave a broad range interview to to CNN’s John Berman on Friday, where he was asked about the revocation of John Brennan‘s security clearance and the questionable timing of Trump’s decision to do so. Taylor said that pulling the former CIA director’s security clearance sets a “bad precedent,” and intelligence figures have a right to speak their minds.

When they arrived at the subject of the parade, Taylor said that the best thing that could be done is “cancel it.”

“I don’t think it is a good idea,” Taylor said. “I don’t agree it is a good idea. We’re still at war right now…I just don’t think this is a good call. The war has not ended yet. Our people are still out there. I think it is a bad idea that should be canceled.”
