Lewandowski Denies Working on Super PAC, Admits He Wasn’t Telling Truth Only an Hour Later
CNN commentator and former Donald Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski denied he was talking to high-powered GOP donors about a pro-Trump Super PAC Wednesday, only to admit that he actually was an hour later.
Buzzfeed first reported, citing no less the six sources, that Lewandowski was making the rounds with wealthy donors trashing existing Super PACs and pitching his own. But Lewandowski denied that, telling them “I have nothing to do with any Super PACs,” and denying having spoken to donors about any potential group.
At first Lewandowski denied the rumors, telling The Hill the same thing he told Buzzfeed. But when The Hill presented him with even more information about the meetings, he fessed up.
“I offered advice. That’s what they asked for,” he said. “I’m not involved in it. I don’t get paid, don’t consult, just told people HOW to do it.”
