In case you haven’t heard, the New York Primaries are happening. Continuing on the track of making a lot of this election somehow about food, Democratic Presidential Candidate Hillary Clinton wrote a piece for Thrillist. She shared her favorite restaurants from all over the state of New York.

She went out on exactly zero limbs with this one. I haven’t been to half of these restaurants and I probably could have written this piece myself. That’s not to say that they’re bad. They’re just…duh. Basic. There’s something for everyone on this list, yes, but googling “Best New York Restaurants” probably would have yielded similar results. Dinosaur Bar-B-Que in Syracuse? Gee, thanks! Also, Hillstone? Don’t get me wrong, I’m Hillstone’s biggest fan. I’ve seen their veggie burger turn even the most enthusiastic carnivores. But you’ve gotta do better than that. Also, Hillstone is in every city ever. In any event, here’s what you should be eating if you want to eat like the person who may very well become the next President of the United States:

DeFazio’s Woodfired Pizza– Troy, New York

“Rocco DeFazio’s parents moved to Troy from Italy back in the ’30s and opened up an imports shop. Today, DeFazio’s Pizzeria is run by Rocco and his son, Matt —

and they make just about the best pizza around.”
