Fox News reporter Trey Yingst shared extraordinary footage of shots fired on Israeli troops, who then captured and blindfolded a Hamas militant before leading him away.
Yingst reported from the location of Israel’s Tribe of Nova music festival where Hamas opened fire on concertgoers Saturday, killing hundreds and taking scores of hostages.
“We saw where authorities were collecting burned body parts underneath a bus. Also in the distance you could see where camp sites were set up, and as we were walking through this area, it was very clear something went terribly wrong, and I want you to take a look,” Yingst said before rolling footage of the scene.
“We just heard a gunshot and they’re yelling at people to get out of the area,” Yingst said while running toward the chaos.
“You can see these soldiers — Get down, get down! Lay down flat! Lay down. Lay down totally flat,” Yingst instructed his videographer as he hit the ground.
The video then cut to the aftermath of the shooting.
“You can see things are very tense here. There were two gunshots and now they have someone on the ground,” Yingst said as an Israeli soldier instructed him, “Go back right now.”
“Very tense right now as the soldiers appear to be arresting a Palestinian man, they have him in handcuffs right now, and they’ve blindfolded him, and they are taking him away,”
Yingst said he spoke with a senior IDF commander who confirmed the shooter was a Palestinian militant who either crossed the border from Gaza or had been hiding in the area since Saturday’s massacre.
