Congresswoman Lauren Boebert was called out by local journalists on her fake Trump sneakers as she celebrated her victory in Colorado’s 4th Congressional District GOP primary race Tuesday night.

During her speech Boebert pledged her continued support of former President Donald Trump sporting a signed “Make America Great Again” hat and what appeared to be a pair of Trump’s “Never Surrender” high-top sneakers.

The sneakers, in particular, drew the attention of social media users, but the lawmaker admitted exclusively to a reporter at local Denver-based outlet Westword that they were foreign counterfeits.

When challenged one-to-one by Westword’s journalist Chris Perez, she said: “These are very China, but I’m ok with that. If I could’ve bought the OGs I would have.”

She added: “The haters do not define me. I am blood bought, blood washed. I’m a daughter of the almighty God. That is where I get my value.”

To be fair, the sneakers are sold out on Trump’s official website but are available on preorder for a mere $399.

At the event Boebert addressed with an intimate crowd in Windsor, said she’d spoke with Trump during her election watch party: “I told him he needs to win his third election. He congratulated me, he loves me and thanks me for a good win.”

With over 43 percent of the vote, Boebert won the primary in

a landslide, catching over 43 percent of the vote, according to the Associated Press.
