Miami Dolphins star wide receiver Tyreek Hill has been detained by police Sunday morning — just hours before his team’s season opener.

According to ESPN — which obtained details of the incident through Hill’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus — Hill was detained by police right outside of Hard Rock Stadium for a driving violation.

ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter posted video of Hill being handcuffed to social media.

ESPN’s Jeff Darlington reports Hill was cited for reckless driving, and then got into a verbal altercation with police. Darlington said Hill was “cited and released after the situation deescalated.”

According to Rosenhaus, Hill will still take the field Sunday afternoon for the Dolphins in their matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
