ESPN NFL analyst Damien Woody went off on Philadelphia Eagles coach Nick Sirianni jawing at the team’s own fans after their win against the Cleveland Browns.
The Eagles on Sunday beat the Browns 20-16 to improve to 3-2. Although it was a sloppy win — especially compared to how the rest of the NFC East teams beat the Browns — Sirianni appeared to celebrate the loss by gloating to the fans seated behind the bench. With under a minute left in the fourth quarter and the Eagles in control, the head coach was seen pointing to his hear and saying something along the lines of, “I can’t hear you.” It was likely in response to fans booing the team throughout the game.
Woody called Sirianni a “clown” for the move.
“What’s this clown behavior, bro?” Woody said on Monday’s episode of Get Up. “This dude is a clown. Like seriously, you’re gonna seriously talk trash to the fans — your own fans? Listen, people come out here and pay big money to come out and watch you put a product out on the field. When you don’t perform well, they have every right to boo you! And you’re gonna get all in your feelings because fans are booing you because your team stinks? Like, bro, come on.
And then [Dan Orlovsky] brought it up in our meeting:
