President Donald Trump is too fixated on his “enemies list” right now — and that is keeping him away from his usual to-do list, which includes golf and a need to “attack Black women,” Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) claimed on Saturday.
Pressley made the provocative remark — among several others — during an appearance on MSNBC’s PoliticsNation with Al Sharpton.
The Democratic congresswoman ripped the Trump Administration for going after James Comey, after the former FBI director was indicted this week. The indictment, Pressley argued, showed the president is more focused on taking down his political rivals than following his typically “sinister” day-to-day agenda.
“He is working through this enemies list every day, prioritizing political retribution and grievance, and again, working an enemies list instead of a to-do list,” Pressley said. “I mean, his to-do list, I think, just says: golf, attack Black women, attack enemies, alienate our allies, and continue to create crushing hurt for working families.”
Pressley doubled down on that comment a moment later, saying the Trump administration “has been anti-Blackness on steroids.” The latest example? Firing more than a dozen FBI agents who knelt at a protest in support of George Floyd, Pressley said.
The “Squad” member did not hold back when discussing President Trump’s plan to deploy the National Guard to “war ravaged” cities like Portland, Oregon, either. Trump, she said,
“Again, these are the consistent actions of someone moving actively towards an authoritarian state, which just means to bully, control, and intimidate,” Presley said. “But when you create a state of terror, we are all less safe now.”
Pressley’s latest comments should not come as much of a shock to anyone who has been following her or the president in recent years. The representative blasted Trump as an “existential threat” to America in August 2024, just weeks after the assassination attempt against him in Butler, Pennsylvania.
And President Trump has not minced words when it comes to Pressley. He demanded last month that Pressley and other Democratic politicians, like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY)and Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) take cognitive tests.
“These Radical Left Lunatics would all fail this test in a spectacular show of stupidity and incompetence,” Trump said.
