Cooper to Trump: ‘You’ve Been in Fights with a Lot of People, But the Pope?!’

Anderson Cooper started off Donald Trump‘s portion of CNN’s GOP town hall by bringing up his feud with Pope Francis and saying, “You’ve been in fights with a lot of people, but the Pope?! Does that give you pause?”

Trump told Cooper he suspects the Pope made his comments suggesting he’s not a Christian after the Mexican government told him directly how much they hate The Donald. That being said, Trump admitted the Pope’s comments were “nicer” than the media made them out to be.

He pointed out that the Vatican has a wall, and argued that His Holiness doesn’t understand the serious problems happening at America’s border.

Now, that all being said, Trump praised the Pope and said he’s “doing a very good job.” He said maybe he was just “given fase information.”
