“We could not do what we do if it weren’t for the Secret Service and the police officers,” said Michelle Obama. “We love them dearly and they do a great job.” The Secret Service has been on the receiving end of much high-profile criticism since the scandal surrounding agents procuring the services of prostitutes in Colombia broke.
When asked by a school-age child what, if anything, she would change about her role as First Lady, she responded that she wouldn’t change anything. However, she said “we can’t, like,
“It’s hard to sneak around and do what you want to do,” she continued. “I’ve done it a couple of times. But, you know, one fantasy I have – and the Secret Service, they keep looking at me because they think I might actually do it – is to walk right out the front door and just keep walking.”
“If I could change something, I’d be able to sneak around a little bit more,” Michelle Obama concluded. “But it causes people a lot of stress when I do that, so I try not to.”
