Fox News anchor Sandra Smith on Monday provided a succinct fact-check in response to a Democrat fuming over President Donald Trump’s AI-generated video about the “No Kings” protests.
The video was posted over the weekend on Trump’s Truth Social account. In it, the president was depicted piloting a fighter jet. Emblazoned on the side of the jet was “King Trump,” and the president himself was wearing a crown. While flying over New York City during the city’s “No Kings” protest, Trump was then seen in the video dumping feces onto the protesters. The video then features a close-up shot of left-wing influencer Harry Sisson covered in said feces.
On Monday afternoon, Massachusetts congressional candidate Dan Koh appeared on Fox News to talk about the upcoming book from former White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre. Before getting to that, however, Koh first brought up Trump’s video:
SMITH: Are you buying what Karine Jean-Pierre is selling?KOH: Look, in terms of the Democratic Party, this weekend was a good analogy. I saw Democrats, Republicans, Independents who were protesting in the millions against a president who is trying to silence us; and the analogy was apt when the president uploaded a video of himself in a king hat–SMITH: So, Dan, so are you going to answer the question?KOH: Yes, I will, but please give me a moment. Literally defecating on
people exercising their right to free speech–SMITH: I don’t think it was literally, but OK.KOH –a constitutional right!SMITH: OK.
