Former President Donald Trump has added a new group of voters to the list of people who he says he can’t believe support Democrats.
Speaking at Turning Point Action event in West Palm Beach, Florida on Friday, Trump slammed presumptive nominee and Vice President Kamala Harris.
“As everyone here understands, the radical left ideology Kamala supports is really militantly hostile toward Americans of faith,” Trump said before baselessly claiming that she suggested that judicial nominees’ “Catholic faith disqualified them from serving on the federal bench.”
Trump, who has repeatedly said he does not know why many Jews vote for Democrats, then said, “I don’t know how a Catholic can vote for the Democrats because they’re after the Catholics almost as much as they’re after me. I would say I top you, I’m proud to admit. But they’re really after the Catholics.”
For good measure, he re-upped his talking point about Jewish voters.
“How can a Jewish person vote or a person that loves Israel vote – think of this – vote for this, this, these parties,” he said. “I mean, how can they vote Democrat? How can they vote for these horrible, these horrible people that wanna destroy– and I asked them, how did they vote for Democrats? Everything is negative.”
Trump then claimed Democrats want to put Jews “in jail.”
“Traditionally, they have,”
On Wednesday, Trump claimed Harris is “totally against the Jewish people,” which would come as a surprise to her Jewish husband.
