Fox News’ Laura Ingraham dismissed the “faux liberal outrage” over President Donald Trump‘s border policy on Monday night, saying migrant children who are taken away from their parents basically get to stay at “summer camp.”
Ingraham kicked off her show by saluting Trump’s zero-tolerance policy and blasting the left and the media for using the issue as a “political weapon.” She also echoed the president’s statements today by saying America is not a repatriation center and must enforce its borders.
At one point, Ingraham had this to say:
“Consistent with American law when the parties arrested, your children are either sent to relatives or they become wards of the state. Since more illegal immigrants are rushing the border, more kids are being separated from their parents, and temporarily housed in what are essentially summer camps or, as the San Diego Union Tribune described them today as looking basically like boarding schools.”
Ingraham didn’t have much to say about how children are being kept in metal cages, and have been heard crying for their parents. She did, however, take time to trash the media for not having a collective heartbreak over violent crimes by illegal aliens, or because of how many children get hurt by the human trafficking element of unlawful immigration.
