Lindsay Lohan has deleted all of her Instagram posts, but has updated her bio to include the following:

Alaikum salam ✋?

That traditional Arabic greeting translates to “peace be unto you” and is very common among Muslims.

Beyond deleting the platform on which she once shared that really weird “tribute” to 9/11, she was speaking in a new accent as recently as November, you’ll recall.

At the time, she said, “It’s a mixture of most of the languages I can understand or am trying to learn … I’ve been learning different languages since I was a child. I’m fluent in English and French can understand Russian and am learning Turkish, Italian, and Arabic.”

But wait! There’s more! Remember when she was photographed holding a Quaran, and, in her words, “crucified” by the American public for it? She’s even worn a hijab when visiting Middle Eastern countries:

Gezide

aktris @lindsaylohan’a eşlik ettik; onun bulunması, meselenin dünya kamuoyunda yer almasına katkı sağlayacaktır diye umuyorum. #Turkey #RefugeesWelcome #worldisbiggerthan5

Her rep told our friends at Gossip Cop that she hasn’t converted to Islam. Still, it’s clear from her reading of the holy book, wearing of a hijab, and studying of Arabic that she’s at least interested in the religion. She’s even done humanitarian work with Syrian refugees. All of that in mind, her new Instagram bio isn’t that shocking after all.

UPDATE — 9:57 a.m. EST, January 18:

Lohan’s mother told Page Six the following:

I have raised my children to be compassionate and to educate themselves on a global level — to learn about different cultures and their practices and to respect them!

A “pal” also said she’s just educating herself.
