The IRS whistleblowers who have alleged that political bias has marred the Department of Justice’s investigation into Hunter Biden argued that there’s “ample evidence” to show that President Joe Biden was involved in his son’s businesses on Fox News Thursday.

Joseph Ziegler and Gary Shapley joined Bill Hemmer on America’s Newsroom Thursday morning, where the pair also criticized the younger Biden for defying a congressional subpoena on Wednesday.

Reacting to Biden’s statement yesterday in which he insisted that his father was not “financially involved” in his businesses, Shapley called it “part of the shifting story from DOJ and the Biden family attorneys.”

He continued:

At the beginning it was’ I’ve never talked to my son about business.’ That’s been proven patently false by evidence and testimony we’ve provided. Then it moved to ‘He’s not in business with him,’ and now we’re into ‘He’s not financially connected to the businesses.’ So you don’t have to be financially connected to a business in order to be a part of that business. And what President Biden was basically doing through Hunter Biden was allowing Hunter Biden to get these deals where there’s no discernible actual product being produced. So it’s really just peddling of of the influence.

Hemmer went on to ask Shapley

if Republicans would be able to prove that. The whistleblower punted on that question, arguing that was for Republicans to decide, but unequivocally stated his own opinion that “There’s ample evidence that shows that President Biden was involved in Hunter Biden’s business is in some way, shape, or form.”

Later, Ziegler argued that Biden should testify “just like Gary and I did,” rejecting the first son’s pleas that he be allowed to forego a closed-door deposition and proceed to a public hearing.

“We did closed-door depositions to start and we provided ample evidence to support our whistleblower claims,” he added before lamenting that American taxpayers are not being treated the same in the “darkest corners of the DOJ.”
