Conservative London mayoral hopeful Susan Hall denied that she believed the claims of former U.S. President Donald Trump that he was robbed of the 2020 presidential election by systematic voter fraud after a LBC listener dredged up her old tweets.

Hall was appearing on LBC’s Nick Ferrari At Breakfast for a ranging interview on her policies and to promote her mayoral campaign when she began to take questions from listeners when a question came about a 2020 retweet of pro-Trump activist Cassandra Fairbanks:

“Do you still think the 2020 election was stolen?” asked host Nick Ferrari.

“No,” Hall said, laughing. “I think you’re referring to an old tweet.”

“You did say that, says Alastair in Hackney,” the host pressed.

“Yeah, but that was at the very beginning of something,” the candidate said. “Oh, listen, we’ve gone through my Twitter.”

“You initially thought the 2020

election…” Ferrari started again

“I tweeted and used to like things on Twitter,” Hall said, “but I will…”

The host asked again: “Can I just clarify, you did initially think the 2020 election was stolen.”

Finally Hall gave an answer: “No, I didn’t. I think I liked something. As you know, i never intended to go into this sort of level of politics. If [I had known] I probably would not have had a Twitter account because you like things and repeat things that you don’t always like, but the one thing that…”

Confused, the host replied: “I don’t. I have never liked anything that I don’t like. Why would you even countenance… well, unless you’re going to tell me that the 2020 election was stolen.”

“No,” Hall laughed. “Because it wasn’t.”

“Then why would you…”

“I don’t know,” she replied.

“You don’t know why you do tweets?” Ferrari asked. “Do you not think it’s a bit frightening that the [potential future] mayor of London doesn’t know why she does things?”

“No, no,” Hall paused. “That’s not what I said. I think we’ve been through this before.

“You often like one often like it. Oh, you do when you’re not. I mean. I don’t suppose…” Hall stuttered,

“Are you we closer to Susan Hall in City Hall as a result of Donald Trump, do you welcome the fact that, it would

appear, his path has been cleared to a degree last night?” Ferrari asked.

“Well, what the Americans decide to do is up to the Americans,” Hall closed.

Hall, an open critic of current Labour mayor Sadiq Kahn, also told Ferrari that she would fund more police for London after claiming that crime has increased under the current mayor’s tenure.

In November her claim of having been a victim of pickpocketing on the Tube embarrassingly fell apart in slow motion on Ferrari’s show as he politely walked her through the details to discover that the missing items were all returned by a member of the public.
