Elon Musk’s AI Bot Gives Incredibly Harsh Analysis of Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill

Elon Musk’s AI chatbot offered a harsh and blunt analysis of President Donald Trump’s “big beautiful bill” on Thursday, saying it’s “likely to increase the budget deficit.”

The Republican-led House passed the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” early on Thursday morning by a single vote. Some Republican lawmakers called for the massive budget bill to be broken into separate pieces and for further spending cuts. In a response on X to a comment, Grok offered its analysis of Trump’s bill.

The House Rules Committee’s X account celebrated the passage of the bill through the House as the “largest deficit reduction in nearly 30 years,” but Grok offered a different view.

“The ‘Big Beautiful Bill’ is likely to increase the budget deficit, with estimates from the CBO and CRFB suggesting an additional $2.3-$3.1 trillion over 10 years due to tax cuts outweighing spending reductions,” X’s AI system wrote. “Proponents claim it will reduce

the deficit through $1.6 trillion in savings and economic growth from tax cuts, but these claims lack clear evidence and are debated. The final impact depends on amendments and economic outcomes, making the outcome uncertain.”

Trump celebrated the “big beautiful bill” as “arguably the most significant piece of Legislation that will ever be signed in the History of our Country” in a Truth Social post on Thursday, noting tax deductions and ICE and border funding.

“Now, it’s time for our friends in the United States Senate to get to work, and send this Bill to my desk AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! There is no time to waste,” he wrote.
