Kai Trump — the granddaughter of President Donald Trump — announced Tuesday that she’ll soon make her professional golf debut in an LPGA even.
The 18-year-old has been spotted on the links with president on numerous occasions, having recently published a wildly-popular YouTube video showing a golf outing with her grandfather. On Tuesday, Kai revealed in another video posted on social media that she was invited to her first pro tournament:
What’s up guys? I am thrilled to announce that I will be making my LPGA tour debut in November at The ANNIKA during by Gainbridge. The ANNIKA is at the Pelican Golf Club. It has been a dream of mine to compete at the professional level, and I’d like to thank the Pelican Golf Club for the invitation. I’m looking forward to seeing up and competing with the best players in the world at one
In a statement obtained by BBC, LPGA chief tour business and operations officer Ricki Lasky explained that invitations like the one Kai received were an “important way to spotlight emerging talent and bring new attention to our tournaments and the LPGA.”
