LIV Golf teased the return of ex-PGA pro Anthony Kim in an over-the-top hype video featuring the golfer and various dramatic scenes of nature.

On Saturday morning, the Golf Channel reported that multiple sources said Kim would return to the PGA Tour’s rival-turned-partner. The 38-year-old last competed in the 2012 Wells Fargo Championship. He had surgery on his Achilles not long after the tournament and never returned to the sport.

LIV Commissioner Greg Norman then tweeted the hype video on Monday. Though he didn’t explicitly name Kim, the video and his words essentially confirmed it.

“He oozes incredible talent,” Norman said in the tweet. “The world has seen it in the past and now it is an honour as Commissioner of LIV Golf to give the opportunity for this star to be reborn. Welcome back and to the LIV Golf family mate. The golf world has missed you.”

The video begins with a close-up shot up a desert.

“In the silence of the desert, where time stands

still, a journey begins,” the narrator says.

After a sudden montage of nature shots, a man draped in shadow can be seen walking with a golf club in hand.

“For years, the road has lingered in darkness and with little hope,” the narrator continues. “But this is a rebirth.

“As a new road emerges against a backdrop of endless possibilities, witness the dance of redemption.”

The video ends with a promotion for LIV’s upcoming tournament in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, seemingly implying Kim will make his debut there.

According to sources, Kim had been in talks with both LIV and the PGA Tour on a possible return. With LIV, Kim will occupy one of its “wildcard” spots for players not affiliated with one of the teams to compete individually.
