On Wednesday morning, the cable news channel announced that it has signed Obama’s deputy 2012 campaign manager Stephanie Cutter and Romney’s 2012 campaign adviser Kevin Madden as political commentators.
During the previous election cycle, both were regular fixtures on cable news, often squaring off against each other on political talk shows.
Cutter’s political experience is extensive, having worked as Assistant to President Obama and Deputy Senior Adviser, after serving as a senior adviser to both Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and the late Senator Ted Kennedy. “I’ve worked with CNN for many years in the White House, on campaigns and throughout government,” she wrote in an official statement. “They are the best in the business, and I’m thrilled to be joining the CNN team.”
