Fox Business host Stuart Varney clashed with network contributor Kennedy on Friday morning over former President Donald Trump’s new nickname for California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D).

Speaking in Eagle Pass, Texas on Friday, Trump attacked the California governor for providing aid to undocumented migrants amid the record influx of crossing at the U.S.-Mexico border. He blamed Newsom for promising undocumented migrants “free education, free medical, free everything.”

“I mean, all the promises that are made, no wonder they come. I mean, you look at what this governor Newscum from California. Isn’t that his name? Newscum. What he’s done to California is unbelievable,” Trump added.

During a Friday morning panel discussion on Fox Business, Varney reacted unfavorably to the president’s new nickname for Newsom, arguing it was “crude” and “obscene.”

VARNEY: May I throw this at you? We just did a story where Trump has a new nickname for Gavin Newsom, calling him Gavin Newscum. I don’t like that. I don’t think there’s any call for that. I don’t think you should do it.KENNEDY: You should text the former president and let him know.VARNEY: I could do that.KENNEDY: He really needs a manners lesson.VARNEY: What do you say?KENNEDY: I think his nicknames are very on brand.VARNEY: That’s crude. It’s almost obscene.KENNEDY: He’s like scum. Scum,

newscum, like, you know, the scum in your bathtub that you have to scrape off with a razor blade.VARNEY: Move along, swiftly.
