Comedian Michelle Wolf mocked ICE in a sketch comparing ICE to ISIS, and the former acting director of ICE blasted the comedy bit on Fox News this morning.
The “ICE IS” fake recruitment sketch got some attention online in the past day (video above), with Wolf as Kirstjen Nielsen saying, “It’s popular nowadays to say ICE is bad but there’s no better representation of American values right now than ICE is.”
Cavuto asked former ICE acting director Thomas Homan about it, remarking “that’s supposed to be a comic.”
“It’s the most repulsive thing I’ve seen in my 34 years,” Homan said. “I heardI heard you say earlier that I’m angry. You’re damn right I’m angry because that is repulsive and there should be outrage over that comment.”
He continued, “ICE special agents across the world have prevented terrorists from coming into this country. I find it repulsive that this so-called comedian wants to call ICE terrorists when we actually arrest, investigate, and dismantle terrorist organizations.”
“It’s not just comparing to terrorists, it’s comparing it to ISIS,” Cavuto said. “That’s pretty serious stuff.”
Homan concluded, “What ICE is doing is protecting this country and keeping us safe. We’re not cutting heads off, we’re not a terrorist organization,
