Was Whitney Houston’s death…murder? HLN’s Nancy Grace seemed to suggest as much when she made a special appearance on CNN Newsroom with Brooke Baldwin to give her legal speculation on the R&B pop star’s alleged cause of death. Grace wondered if anyone had given Houston the drugs that contributed to her death, and then drew comparisons to charges raised in the cases of Anna Nicole Smith and Michael Jackson‘s deaths.

“I’d like to know who was around her, who — if anyone — gave her drugs… following alcohol and drugs, and who let her slip, or pushed her, underneath that water? Apparently, no signs of force or trauma to the body. Who let Whitney Houston go under her water?”

Baldwin reiterated that the cause of death is unknown. While TMZ and other news organizations have reported that Houston may have suffered a fatal reaction from mixing drugs and alcohol, Baldwin went on to

ask Grace if others possibly were involved. “Might it have been one person, might it have been multiple people?” Baldwin hypothesized. “All excellent questions. Again, we don’t know the cause of her death.” Baldwin asked Grace what she had learned so far. Grace said there were three different prescription drug containers for the same drug — benzodiazepine — from three different doctors.

“They were medicating her out the yin-yang,” Grace said.
