State Department spokeswoman and former Fox News host Heather Nauert is President Donald Trump’s top pick to replace Nikki Haley as UN ambassador, according to a report from CNN.

Two sources who spoke to CNN and are aware of the president’s conversations on the UN replacement said he could publicly name Nauert this week; though, the choice is not definite yet.

While the White House did not comment on the news, Nauert reportedly met with Trump as recently as Monday.

Additionally, Trump has expressed interest in bringing on another woman to replace Haley.

“Yes,” Trump said when asked in October if he wants a woman for the job. “I think I might prefer that, but we’ll see.”

Aside from hosting for Fox News, Nauert worked as Rex Tillerson and Mike Pompeo’s flack.

Nauert’s lack of experience in the field could make for a difficult confirmation process, as Democrats have aggressively questioned the qualification of top Trump appointees in the past. Rather than focusing on work history however, Trump is known to

fill top positions based on the TV appearances of potential candidates, like John Bolton and Larry Kudlow.

As for Haley, she announced her decision to leave the UN post last month — a move that caught many by surprise. Haley has not announced any of her future plans and said that she simply wishes to take a break from public service after serving two years at the post, which began amid her time as South Carolina’s governor.
