Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) took aim at Erick Erickson on Tuesday after the conservative radio host claimed that Jews are not “allowed” to lead the Democratic Party.
Erickson wrote a substack in response to Vice President Kamala Harris choosing Minnesota Governor Tim Walz (D) as her running mate on Tuesday — passing over Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro (D) who had come under fire from pro-Palestinian elements in the party. He titled his article, “BREAKING: No Jews Allowed,” and raged:
Josh Shapiro is a popular governor in a swing state with eighteen electoral college votes. But he is Jewish.CNN is reporting Kamala Harris has reportedly named Tim Walz of Minnesota as her running mate. Walz not only shut kids out of school for a year, but refused law enforcement resources to quell rioting in 2020. He is a progressive’s progressive. votes for a white guy from a safe Democrat state who will not alienate the people who hate Jews.
Erickson later posted to X, “No Jews allowed at the top of the Democratic Party.” Schumer replied by simply writing, “News to me.” Erickson’s post also received a community note that read, “The Senate Majority Leader, Secretaries of State, Treasury, Homeland Security, Attorney General, Director of National Intelligence, and the husband of the 2024 presidential nominee are all Jewish.”
