President Donald Trump called out American courts , accusing them of obstructing his immigration agenda in the hours after attending the funeral of Pope Francis.
In remarks that were posted on Truth Social, presumably aboard Air Force One after departing after his trip to Rome, he accused judges of working to cement the immigration crisis that took place as a result of former president Joe Biden’s administration.
“We need Courageous JUSTICE in our Country,” Trump wrote. “If the Courts don’t allow what we have been allowed to do for 250 years, America can no longer be the same.”
He continued, “Crooked Joe Biden will have destroyed our Country with his Open Border MADNESS, and allowing criminals of every type to enter with no Retribution. Murderers, Drug Dealers, Gang Members, and even the Mentally Insane will make their home in our Country, wreaking havoc like we have never seen before.”
Trump concluded: “It is not possible to have trials for millions and millions of people. We know who the Criminals are, and we must get them out of the U.
Federal judges have recently blocked or limited several of Trump’s executive actions pertaining to immigration and deportations.
The Supreme Court has intervened to halt the Trump administration’s use of the 1798 Alien Enemies Act to deport migrants to a prison in El Salvador, citing due process concerns.
In March, the White House deported approximately 250 foreign nationals, alleging ties to the Tren de Aragua gang, to the Terrorism Confinement Center (CECOT).
Trump also demanded free passage for US ships in the Panama and Suez canals.
“American Ships, both Military and Commercial, should be allowed to travel, free of charge, through the Panama and Suez Canals!” he posted Saturday. “Those Canals would not exist without the United States of America. I’ve asked Secretary of State Marco Rubio to immediately take care of, and memorialize, this situation!”
