President Donald Trump wildly claimed Friday that “African-American ladies, beautiful ladies” in Chicago are begging him to stage a D.C.-style crime crackdown in the Windy City.
Speaking from the Oval Office with FIFA president Gianni Infantino, Trump boasted that the soccer boss can “walk on the street with your beautiful wife, can take her to dinner, if you can get a reservation, which I doubt.”
Trump then said he would look to Chicago as the next location of a federal crime crackdown, followed by New York.
Trump then turned to Vice President J.D. Vance, saying, “And the people in Chicago, Mr. Vice President, are screaming for us to come.”
Vance agreed as Trump added, “They are wearing red hats, just like this one. But they are wearing red hats. African American ladies, beautiful ladies are saying, ‘Please, President Trump, come to Chicago, please.’
“I did great with the Black vote, as you know. And they want something to happen. So I think Chicago will be our next, and then we will help with New York,” Trump added.

PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: We have this event in December. It’s going to be a very safe. Gianni, you can walk on the street with your beautiful wife, can take her to dinner, can get a reservation — which I doubt.GIANNI INFANTINO: They’re all full, the restaurants. [Laughter]TRUMP: I
heard that too, the restaurants are all full. Since we’ve been doing this, they are doing great. And many new restaurants will open because as you know, many restaurants closed. Many restaurants closed because the crime was so bad. This will be one of the safest places anywhere on earth. So, I really am honored. The National Guard has done such an incredible job working with the police. And we haven’t had to bring in the regular military, which we are willing to do if we have to. And after we do this, we’ll go to another location and we’ll make it safe also. We’re gonna to make our country very safe. We’re gonna make our cities very, very safe. Chicago is a mess. You have an incompetent mayor, grossly incompetent. And we’ll straighten that one out probably next. That will be our next one after this, and it won’t even be tough. And the people in Chicago, Mr. Vice President, are screaming for us to come.VICE PRESIDENT J.D. VANCE: Yes they are, sir.TRUMP: They are wearing red hats, just like this one. But they are wearing red hats. African American ladies, beautiful ladies are saying “Please, President Trump, come to Chicago, please.” I did great with the black vote, as you know. And they want something to happen. So I think Chicago will be our next, and thenwe will help with New York, and we’re gonna help with-VANCE: Los Angeles.
Trump announced on Aug. 11 that his administration was taking over the Metro D.C. Police Department and sending the National Guard to the streets in a bid to bring down the district’s crime rate.
That same day, Trump admitted that he was open to sending troops to Chicago and New York to take a bite out of crime in those cities as well.
