President Donald Trump, in a Fox News interview Sunday, revealed several of the high-profile, deep-pocketed names involved in the U.S. deal with China on TikTok. And two of those names were sure to ring a bell with the Fox News audience.

In an interview with Fox News senior White House correspondent Peter Doocy on the debut episode of The Sunday Briefing, the president broke the news that Rupert Murdoch and his son Lachlan Murdoch are likely to be part of the group which will assume control of TikTok.

“I hate to tell you this,” Trump told Doocy. “But a man named Lachlan is involved. You know, Lachlan — that’s a very unusual name — Lachlan Murdoch…and Rupert is probably going to be in the group. I think they’re going to be in the group.”

In addition to the Murdochs, Trump also said Larry Ellison and Michael Dell will be involved with the deal. On Saturday, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said that as part of the agreement with China, Americans will control six of the seven seats on TikTok’s board. She also said the U.S. will have control of TikTok’s algorithm.

Lachlan Murdoch’s involvement in the TikTok deal is the latest major move for the media magnate who recently secured control of his father’s media empire.
