A week after Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered an unprovoked war against Ukraine, images from the ground are starting to show the scope of the devastation.
The New York Times shared a video on Thursday it claimed to have verified showing people ducking as bombs lit up a block in the city of Chernihiv.
Meanwhile, the BBC showed the devastation of the city of Borordyanka, near Kyiv, following a week of attacks.
Myroslava Petsa of the BBC shared an image of the devastation in Chernihiv, where more than two dozen civilians are reported dead.
CBS’ Catherine Herridge also shared video captured from Khrakiv, Ukraine’s second largest city.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky shared dramatic video of the shelling, and subsequent fire at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant near the city of Enerhodar on Thursday.
