Texas State Representative Jolanda Jones (D) went off on President Donald Trump on Tuesday, calling him a “pedophile” and accusing him of “liking” his own daughter.
Jones joined Don Lemon on The Don Lemon Show on YouTube to discuss Republican redistricting efforts in Texas and other current events. When the conversation turned to the controversy over the investigation into sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, Jones didn’t hold back in her criticism of Trump and his actions.
“He’s a pedophile. He likes little girls. In fact, he likes his daughter. He talked about sexual stuff with his daughter. Who does that?” said Jones. “And how the hell did he get to be president? I don’t understand that.”
She continued:
Who talks about their daughter– you know what if I got a daughter and she cute? I’m gonna say ‘hey I want you to be with this nice guy.’ I’m not going to say ‘hey I want to be’– that’s crazy and I don’t understand how America– the Republicans have gone so far off the moral high road. They have a convicted felon pedophile as a president. But you know what that man told us? ‘My supporters, I can kill somebody in broad daylight and they will support me.’ And you know what? They will.
Later in the conversation, Lemon attempted to save his guest from getting
“Let me say this, representative, you are an attorney. I mean, do you want to say allegedly or in your opinion that he is what you say?” asked Lemon.
“Well, in my respectful opinion, right, based on my life experiences, based on my legal acumen, I mean, he said what he said and he actually is is refusing to allow the American public to see what the Epstein files said, even though he wanted the public to see what happened with JFK since he thought– and at worst JFK was a philanderer, not alleged to have slept with kids,” said Jones.
“So, I just say that because he’s very litigious. That’s it. I just want to say, ‘In your opinion,'” concluded Lemon.
Notably, none of the reporting or public evidence that has come out so far surrounding Trump’s long relationship with Epstein implies the president is a “pedophile” or engaged in illicit behavior with the convicted sex offender.
