Cummings began by savaging the GOP for issuing the “reckless accusation” that Sec. Hillary Clinton personally denied requests for more security at the Benghazi outpost. “When we located the cable, however, we discovered that the Republican report distorted the facts,” he said.
“This report was issued under the direction of the Speaker. It was posted on his website, and it was prepared only for members of the House Republican conference,” Cummings continued. “How is this a bipartisan search for the truth?”
Cummings added that Democratic members have been excluded from fact-finding missions to Libya and have been denied equal access to witnesses. “How is that bipartisan?” he asked again.
