During election night coverage Tuesday night, Fox News’ Laura Ingraham devoted a segment to warning viewers about “the plot to take down President Trump.”

Last week she warned viewers that Democrats are willing to throw out people on their side like Al Franken if it means they can then go after the President for the accusations against him.

That and the Russia investigation, she said last week and repeated tonight, are the two ways Democrats are plotting to take Trump down.

And given how Trump’s own accusers have been speaking out this week, along with Democrats calling on him to resign, Ingraham said liberals have created a “dangerous climate” where allegations are enough to “strip any man of his career.”

She was also particularly bothered by Nikki Haley talking about how women who accuse anyone “should be heard,” including Trump’s own accusers. And Ingraham once again took a bit of a shot at her former Fox colleague Megyn Kelly.

Ingraham said Democrats “needed a new storyline” because of recent “big wins” by the President, and their moral positioning is about “taking back power.”

Fox News called the Alabama race for Doug Jones right after Ingraham’s monologue.

After the breaking news discussion, Ingraham picked things up again and said this:

“If they’re able to take out a Senate candidate in Alabama with these allegations, as lurid as

they were, what does this mean for the umpteen number of Democrats who will inevitably come forward to urge the President to resign? The constant re-airing of the old allegations that were aired last October… and putting all this pressure, Brit, all the way to 2018, midterm elections. The war on women redux.”

Brit Hume agreed that it’s just “repeated accusations” and said, “Absent something new and something more recent, these are likely to die down.”
