Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) falsely portrayed Vice President Joe Biden’s stance on America’s civil unrest during an interview with Fox News’ Tucker Carlson.

As Kenosha, Wisconsin continues to observe violence protests following the police shooting of Jacob Blake, Biden gave a video address on Wednesday in support of the peaceful protest, but also condemning “needless violence” and the destruction of property. As Carlson brought Hawley onto his show last night to discuss Kenosha, the Fox host claimed Biden is “not for law and order,” glossed over the former Vice President’s statements as “some kind of tepid condemnation,” and claimed Biden was “encouraging” violence for months.

Hawley began the fear-mongering right away by claiming Biden is “enthralled” to “the Marxist Left in control of the Democratic Party.”

“This is why he can’t come out and condemn what we’re seeing right in front of our own eyes which is the assault on law-abiding Americans,” Hawley said. “It’s time for Republicans to stand up clearly and say ‘enough is enough.’ We won’t be part of this. We aren’t going to condone this Marxist ideology and we’re going to protect the American people.”

The discussion continued with Hawley demanding the resignation of “Democrat governors and mayors allowing their streets to descend to chaos,

” all while conveniently ignoring everything Biden said that day to condemn the riots. Carlson followed up by once again speaking positively about Kyle Rittenhouse, the 17-year-old gunman who was arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of Kenosha protesters.
