Rep. James Comer logged his 200th appearance as a guest on Fox in 2023 when he appeared on Friday’s edition of Hannity.
For perspective, Friday was the 293rd day of the year, which means the Kentucky congressman averaged one appearance every 1.45 days on either Fox News Channel (122 appearances) or Fox Business Network (78 appearances). That is the most of any member of Congress in that time.
Rep. Byron Donalds is second with 172 (85 on Fox News, 87 on Fox Business), and Rep. Jim Jordan is third with 128 (82 on Fox News, 46 on Fox Business).
The figures are based on a tally of real-time Fox-viewing and searches of the TV video and transcript database provider SnapStream.
In virtually every appearance, Comer discussed President Joe Biden and the business dealings of his son Hunter Biden.
When Republicans were on the cusp of retaking the House back in November, Comer said gave a preview of what he would do as the next chair of the powerful House Oversight and Reform Committee. Asked by a Fox News host what his top three priorities would be, he did not hesitate in listing his first one.
“Obviously, Biden family influence-peddling because we believe this is a national security risk,” he answered. “We believe a lot of the bad decisions Joe Biden has made is because he’s compromised because of Hunter and his brother’s shady business dealings.”

During an appearance on Hannity four months later, Comer was asked if Joe Biden benefitted financially.
“I think so,” Comer said, before declaring – much more assertively – “Yes.”
Fast-forwarding to Friday, the Oversight Committee released an image of a $200,000 check dated March 1, 2018. It purports to be signed by Jim Biden and written out to his brother, who left the vice presidency more than a year before. On Friday’s Hannity, Comer alleged the origins of the money are nefarious.
“And the money came from Jim Biden, where he influence-peddled to a company in the United States, that he went and said that he could help – through his brother’s contacts – get capital from the Middle East,” Comer said. “So, he convinced this company to give him $600,000. And it was a loan, according to the way Jim Biden deposited it. And then he wrote, on the same day, a check to Joe Biden for a loan repayment.”
