On Monday night, Laura Ingraham blasted many in the mainstream media for recent coverage of President Trump and took a shot at a former Fox News host.
The Fox News host began her monologue by calling out CNN’s “disgraceful reporting” on Donald Trump Jr.‘s contacts with WikiLeaks during the election. She believed it was a “watershed moment” that exposed the “establishment media’s reckless coverage” of alleged collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign. She then mocked Reliable Sources‘ “shoeless” host Brian Stelter for “refusing” to explain how his network botched their report and instead “trotted out” the “Watergate dinosaur” Carl Bernstein and “perpetual Trump critic” David Frum to attack the president.
“The media are destroying their credibility, whatever’s left of it, by allowing politics to dominate editorial decisions and color their reporting,” Ingraham said. “This is no way of building public confidence!”
She ripped ABC News’ Brian Ross for falsely reporting that Trump ordered Gen. Michael Flynn to contact Russia during the election and The Washington Post‘s Dave Weigel for sharing a misleading picture meant to diminish Trump’s rally crowd size.
Ingraham then took aim at NBC, accusing that network of trying to “distract from their own journalistic and sex abuse scandals” by “dragging out” Trump accusers. She singled out Megyn Kelly
“The president denied the accusations, but that didn’t stop Megyn Kelly from showcasing them on her struggling morning show,” Ingraham continued. “So much for her staying out of politics. Wasn’t that what she was going to do?”
She also criticized the line of questioning White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders faced from several White House reporters, including CNN’s Jim Acosta and April Ryan.
