55 percent of poll respondents view Romney as “out of touch.” Only 36 percent say that Obama is more out of touch with average citizens.
The number of Americans who say they are better off today has markedly increased over a Bloomberg poll from March which showed respondents evenly split on that question.
While the poll is nearly all bad news for Romney’s presidential aspirations, six in ten voters give him better marks on how they would view his handling of the economy – an issue many believe will be voter’s primary concern as they head to the polls in November.

The poll of 1,002 U.S. adults was conducted from June 15 – 18 for Bloomberg News by the Iowa-based firm Selzer & Co. The poll has a margin of error of +/- 3.1 percent. A sample of “likely voters” consists of 734 respondents and has a margin of error of +/- 3.6 percent.
