J.K. Rowling might be a British citizen, but she isn’t afraid to speak her mind whenever the Harry Potter series draws comparisons to politics anywhere in the real world. Yesterday, she took aim at Donald Trump‘s campaign staffers by likening them to the prejudicial antagonists of her acclaimed books.

Trump spokeswoman Katrina Pierson has been a subject of scrutiny over the weekend, when a number of controversial tweets were dug up from her past, including one where she called President Obama and Mitt Romney “half-breeds”:

Uproxx noted how Pierson’s tweets were heavily criticized on Twitter with their resurgence, and when a connection was made to the Harry Potter universe, the author herself followed shortly afterwards.

For those who have not read the series, the Death Eaters are a group of evil wizards bent on achieving totalitarian control over the wizarding world, and eradicating everyone from society whose families and ancestors have interbred with non-magical humans. Pierson was asked about the controversial comments yesterday on CNN, and she told Brian Stelter that she is a “half-breed” too, and that her quote was just “silliness.”

This is not the first time Rowling has voiced disdain for Trump’s camp. She compared the mogul to the group’s leader, Lord Voldemort last month in the midst of his controversial statements about Muslims.
