Days after terming it a “nothing event,” President Donald Trump is still tweeting about the resignation of key anti-ISIS envoy Brett McGurk.

In a Monday morning tweet, the president went after McGurk — as well as Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN).

“For all of the sympathizers out there of Brett McGurk remember, he was the Obama appointee who was responsible for loading up airplanes with 1.8 Billion Dollars in CASH & sending it to Iran as part of the horrific Iran Nuclear Deal (now terminated) approved by Little Bob Corker,” Trump wrote — without providing evidence to support the claim against McGurk.

As for the jab against Corker, the president’s war of words against the outgoing Tennessee senator has escalated in recent days. Trump blasted Corker following a Sunday morning CNN interview in which he criticized the U.S. troop pullout from Syria.

“Bob Corker was responsible for giving us the horrible Iran Nuclear Deal, which I ended, yet he badmouths me for wanting to bring our young people safely back home,” Trump wrote. “

Bob wanted to run and asked for my endorsement. I said NO and the game was over.”

Corker later fired back.

“#AlertTheDaycareStaff,” the senator tweeted.

Trump followed up on his tweet slamming McGurk and Corker by adding, “AMERICA IS RESPECTED AGAIN!”
