Carrie is one of the scariest movies I’ve seen. it’s got the famous “hand” shot at the end that makes me jump every time I see it. And the build up to Carrie’s “incident” at the prom is so suspenseful and uncomfortable, I get chills just thinking about it. And as an outcast growing up, there was always that fear that someone was going to dump a bucket of pig’s blood on me.
I remember my brother coming home from seeing Carrie absolutely traumatized. Now that I see it was released in 76, I’m wondering how on earth he saw it in the first place, when he would have been 9. Hm.
Every “Damien” I’ve ever known has lived up to their name.
