New Bill Maher-Christine O’Donnell Video: “Dabbling Into Every Other Kind Of Religion”

video

In addition to having some fun at Rick Sanchez’ expense, tonight Bill Maher took the time to present another Christine O’Donnell video from his Politically Incorrect days. This clip makes it clear that O’Donnell didn’t limit her “dabbling” to witchcraft.

Maher actually introduced the footage by thanking O’Donnell for reminding him how much fun he used to have on Politically Incorrect – although in doing so, he used a word he never would have gotten away with on ABC. Anyway, the clip. O’Donnell told a wild-haired Maher she “was dabbling into every other kind of religion before she became a Christian,” including Buddhism and (almost) Hare Krishna. Why didn’t she go for the latter? Well, that would have required becoming a vegetarian and, in her words, “I love meatballs.”

When the show cut back to the present and Cornel West in hysterics, Maher said, “Christine, I can’t help you, honey.” Well, maybe he could have…but that would have required not showing this clip, which you can check out below.

Yes I know you said you believe in Jesus in order to cover your bases. That speaks volumes about you, and makes your opinion about Maher quite irrelevant.

And if God exists, he now knows your cynical ploy now, and you will be joining me in Hell along with about 3/4s of the planet who don’t follow the Christian religion. That is some tolerant, loving God we have.

How will I know if you stop posting? You will just use another phony name won’t you? Nothing you say is credible. You have a lot of nerve complaining about others when you hide behind a phony name. You use the name to try to bully people and it really bugs you that you can’t bully me. When you come out from under your rock people might take you up on your challenge.

Actually getting around IP bans is pretty easy. It is an inconvenience to create brand new accounts, so I am willing to limit the bet to the fact we agree to stop using our respective accounts (and have them banned if possible by an Mediate employee), and that if we return to the board, we have to use new account names and photos that are entirely different from the ones we are using now.

    This is really strange…
I remember back in the 60′s when I had long hair, smoked dope and did a bit of mescaline along with just a few acid trips and played frisbee at 2 AM out in front of the house a little high. I thought I knew something as I tried meditation, fasting, vegetarianism, buying an old school bus and touring around the country with some of my friends and a few other things not entirely compatible….
    now I am a 50 something capitalist…
have I screwed up too? Was that bad? Apparently since Christine did something like that it is bad.
Should I have been closed minded and become a professor at a liberal university or maybe I should have joined up with Bill Ayers and tried to kill someone like The Man.

Fox News, you either believe God exists or you don’t. There is no minimum or maximum. My ‘cover the bases’ comment was sarcasm directed at those who don’t believe at all. Like I said, if people who believe there’s a God are wrong, then when they die, nothing happens. If atheists are wrong, then bad things are going to happen. Shitheels like Maher act like everything just accidentally happening from a ‘big bang’ makes more sense than having a supreme being. So where did the material come from to make the ‘bang’, and what made it bang in the first place. No one really knows for sure, but Maher acts like he does, and anyone who doesn’t agree is stupid. That’s why he’s a hateful little shit. And you’re still defending him.

I may think atheists are mistaken, but I don’t hate them for it. The only ones I hate are those like Maher who are so smug and arrogant in their disbelief. Maher is always bitching about religious people who are intolerant. His intolerance for anyone not seeing things his way is equal to the most rabid religious zealot. So defend the arrogant little prick all you want, Fox News. God didn’t mind when David kicked the Philistines ass, so he probably won’t mind me verbally kicking a hateful little bitch like Maher’s.

Well your boy Breitbart sure liked hanging out with him.

P.S. Let me call it the night with this excerpt from my friends at EvilBible.com:

“Thou Shall Not Ignore the Old Testament!”

New Testament Verses Which Demand Following the Old Testament and Law Contradictions:

I hear so many Christians now a days claim that the Old Testament is defunct for Jesus was the “lamb” to clear away its rules and regulations. This is just another bullshit scapegoat that Christians use to ignore the atrocities and bizarre laws commanded by their god. Their preachers spoon feed them that the Old Testament is no longer binding so that they can excuse the majority of evil that the bible promotes. I am so tired of Christians manipulating the scriptures so that they can assign a kinder nature to their God, that I have assembled a BRIEF list of verses which clearly show that the Old Testament is not to be ignored. Its laws should indeed be adhered to, for the New Testament demands it! After this section I shall list where the Bible contradicts itself concerning other laws.

Fox News, what’s your point? People were believing in some sort of supreme being long before the bible was written. I happen to believe a supreme being created things. Others say it was a ‘big bang’. I don’t care if someone believes the big bang theory, and they shouldn’t care if I believe the other way. That’s the point I’m trying to make (and starting to realize you’re never going to get). Maher is one of those people who can’t live and let live. He has to arrogantly point out how smart he is, and how stupid anyone is who doesn’t see things his way. He can’t see that when he acts that way, he’s as bad as the worst religious zealot. This is incredibly damning to O’Donnell. And apparently this is just the tip of the iceburg.

I just saw a news report that when she was in this irresponsible phase of “dabbling” in “other religions” she attended a church where, on the Sunday after 9/11, the pastor blamed the U.S. for the attacks–saying that “the chickens have come home to roost.” At other times, the church preached that Israel is a terrorist nation, the CIA invented AIDS in order to kill black Americans, and “the white gain’s need fuels a world of greed.” I can’t imagine how O’Donnell can possibly survive having associated herself with such extremist views . . .

    Oh, wait. What’s that?

This actually kind of makes me respect O’Donnell. Personally, I believe that if you’re going to stand by a religion then you need to know about the other kinds out there and their teachings in order to engage in healthy debate and also be able to present the differences and virtues of your own, even if you’re an atheist.

Maher is loud and often rude about it but it isn’t as simple as live and let live. People beliefs do affect the lives of others and have throughout history. Religious groups have pushed themselves into the political arena claiming God’s righteousness rather than just one citizens opinion. They should expect to be challenged.

No not at all. Please don’t think my making one statement implies something I never said. I agree Bill is pretty obnoxious in his remarks about religion. I’m just pointing out that live and let live is a really good philosophy but it’s not that simple. There are far more believers than atheists and agnostics and they’ve been pursuing an agenda for society for years. In the last few years we’ve seen a rise in outspoken atheists. I think that’s a good thing, but I agree there’s no need to be obnoxious about it, okay? I think the message gets lost when someone is a dick about it.

So, the liberal wackos here will think that it is a victory if O’Donnell loses in November? One win out of 50 losses?
If that is what it takes in order for liberals not to have mental breakdowns, I guess it should be expected. But, like the rats scurrying out of the White House (Obama will feel a little lonely until they get more crooked folks in there for replacement, Rouse being a good start on the corruption and self dealing) the left wing wackos will just hide under the floorboards until the lights go out.

One of my favorite religion classes in school was called “Comparative Religions”. The shocker being was I went to a Catholic school. It might be said I dabbled in the Baha’i Faith in college because I dated a woman who was a believer in the religion’s doctrines. My point being I could see how Christine O’Donnell ‘dabbled’ in other belief systems. I also dabbled in other faiths motivated by who I was dating at the time.

The Bahai are IMO one of the best religions around. They believe all religions lead to the same god and none are exclusively correct. They read from the Holy books of various religions. They believe science and religion must be compatible. They promote peace, brotherhood, education, They have no clergy in their local places of worship. Although they invite people to explore there is no heavy handed witnessing. A real positive effect on society. The religion was born in Iran in the 1830s and the members there are heavily persecuted.

I think it’s a good idea as our society becomes more and more diverse that a “religions of the world” course be included.

hear so many Christians now a days claim that the Old Testament is defunct for Jesus was the “lamb” to clear away its rules and regulations.

Funny thing is, many of these same christians are also screaming about the evil, violent Islam. Won’t accept the fact that the majority of muslims also ignore the violent aspects of the Q’uran. You know, like the Park51 muslims.

I can see that, but at the same time as Cosmos said, I also feel someone should speak up against the meshing of religion and politics. I don’t think Maher is a great spokesman actually, precisely because of his arrogance. At the same time, he and people like him have made it easier for the more polished and less arrogant to present their case. I agree, I hate it when religious want to shove god down my throat, so I would never reach down someone elses throat and try to pull god out of theirs. But god belongs in the church, not in the capitol.

Personally, I believe that if you’re going to stand by a religion then you need to know about the other kinds out there and their teachings in order to engage in healthy debate and also be able to present the differences and virtues of your own, even if you’re an atheist.

I would have to agree with you here as well. Although, I will admit I’ve never really studied much of other religions to the extent I have christianity. I started to question god/religion at the age of 12. From that point on until my late 20′s early 30′s I read the bible numerous times, took bible lessons in an effort to try and understand it better. It only in the end reinforced my belief that it was all bogus, *for me*.

Although, I do think that there are some benefits from religion for some people, so I am hard pressed to talk it into the gutter, completely. At the same time, one has to be careful that they are not swindled by the less righteous for personal gain.

Imam Crash Roof lied about being a Sufi. He has a website that he tried to scrub from the internet that explains his Sharia Index Project. Sharia comes from Saudi Arabia, which is predominantly Sunni Muslim.

No big surprise that our State Dept. was flying this extremist around as part of a Muslim outreach effort. An activist who attended an outreach session at the White House complex in April had his Chicago home raided by the FBI last week and appears to be a focus of an unfolding federal terrorism-support investigation. Hatem Abudayyeh, who serves as executive director of the Arab-American Action Network, took part in a meeting for Arab-American leaders held in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building on April 22. He was also funneling cash to PFLP, FARC and Hezbollah — all designated terrorist groups. Surprise!

There are 600 races that will be decided on November 2 — Senate seats, House seats, Governorships. And the leftwing media is putting most of their attention into attacking a supposedly unelectable candidate running for Joe Bidne’s supposedly safe seat in a deeply Democratic state. Clearly this is a unwise allocation of TV time for progressives. But the leftwing media is led by clowns — Stewart, Olbermann, Colbert, Maher, etc. — who pick stories based on their potential for comedy routines. That tells you everything you need to know about the credibility of the American left in 2010.

Wow, that was an incredibly valid point. However, out of the guys you cited, only Olbermann pretends to “anchor” a “news” broadcast when, in reality, his program is no different than Hannity’s talk show.

Fans of the rodeo clown Glenn Beck are in no position to point at the “clowns” on the left.

Felix, you left out those who actually “lead” the “left wing” media: Rachel Maddow, Chris Matthews, Amy Goodwin and Juan Gonzalez. Olbermann, for what it’s worth (trying to have a sane exchange with a reactionary) used to pick only one topic for comedic purposes: Glenn Beck — rodeo clown & God impersonator extraodinaire. Now he has Angle and O’Donnell to mock as well. Fun times.

To Comrade Bill Maher: Can you say SENATOR Christine O’Donnel, Num-Nuts?

    “Mice With Human Brains

Weissman has already created mice with brains that are about one percent human.
Later this year he may conduct another experiment where the mice have 100 percent human brains. This would be done, he said, by injecting human neurons into the brains of embryonic mice”
O’Donnell is smarter than all the retards that thought she was wrong.
