Jimmy Kimmel Will Host 2012 White House Correspondents’ Dinner
Jimmy Kimmel Live host Jimmy Kimmel has been tapped to host next year’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner (aka “Nerd Prom”), slated for April 28th.
Kimmel, who has been known to poke fun at both the right and the left, was praised by White House Correspondents’ Association president Caren Bohan as possessing a sense of humor that is “sophisticated and edgy while appealing to a wide audience.”

The role puts Kimmel in the company of such varied names as Jay Leno, Stephen Colbert, Drew Carey, Ray Romano and Jon Stewart.
