Johnson & Johnson Heiress Casey Johnson Dies Amidst Confusing Reports

Conflicting reports surround the apparent death of Casey Johnson, girlfriend to Tila Tequila and daughter of Woody Johnson, owner of the New York Jets. TMZ initially reported her death, but Ms. Tequila recently tweeted that she learned that Johnson was “not dead but currently in a coma!!!” Alas, a spokesmen for the Jets issued the following statement: “The Johnson family is mourning its tragic loss, and asks for privacy during this very difficult time.” (via NY Daily News.)

GossipCop reports:

According to reports, Johnson was engaged to Tila Tequila, who told TMZ the couple fought last week. The last she spoke to her was on December 29.

Interestingly, Johnson posted her last status update on Facebook that very day. It read, eerily, “Sweet Dreams Everyone.”

Minutes ago Tequila Tweeted the following: “Everyone please pray 4 my Wifey Casey Johnson. She has passed away. Thank u for all ur love and support but I will be offline to be w family.”

Gawker initally picked up the story from TMZ, then updated it following the tweets of grief-stricken Twitter obsessed Tila Tequila, who tweeted the following “I just got news that my fiance is not dead but currently in a coma!!! Omg please pray that she will make it! Hang in there my love please!!!” They’ve since updated their post to include an official statement from LAPD confirming Johnson’s death.
