Is it happening again?

~~MSNBC~~ Fox News was first to report that Times Square is being evacuated due to a suspicious package found. ~~Fox News~~ MSNBC followed with a short statement a few minutes later, CNN a few minutes after that. Here’s what Andrea Mitchell said. (UPDATE)

From 1:12pmET:

Times Square is being evacuated at this hour because of a suspicious package. we’re told from our people in Times Square there is a shut-down and evacuation of times square south of 47th street due to a suspicious package reported at approximately 12:45. Hundreds of NYPD on the scene.

Obviously we’ll have more as we get it.

> Update: NYPD has given the “all clear” – apparently there were books and water in the bag.
