Report: Fox News Has Terminated Contracts With Gingrich, Santorum

POLITICO’s Ben Smith, citing “a source familiar with the move” says Fox News has terminated its contracts with Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum. According to the report, the decision was motivated by the
passing of a May 1 deadline for the two potential presidential candidates to decide on a White House run.

The two Republicans were suspended from their duties as Fox News contributors in March, when it became clear one of both of the men were seriously considering a run, but they had the option
to return:

The contracts’ end marks another sign that Gingrich, who has repeatedly delayed his decision citing business obligations, is in the race — though he dropped out of tonight’s Fox debate.

The network may also intensify the network’s pressure on Mike Huckabee, the host of a Fox show, to make up his mind about a possible bid.

    Good move for Fox.

Bad move for both Gingrich and Santorum.

” FOX NEWS ” took one positive thing away from Obama’s burying Osama at sea. It seems they took some their rotting corpses that have done nothing but stinking the place up and given them the old heave ho. It’s was way past time for those two.

They had to though, due to contract obligations and their desire to run for the Presidency.

Fox can’t probably contribute money when they’re on the payroll so they had to be let go.

    What’s a Santorum?

  • lucky5

I’ve noticed Mrs. Wasilla is still on the payroll, so it looks like she won’t be running for office any time soon.

This is interesting, the least interesting folks applying for the top job.

It’s far too early to announce or even be in the game. Watching Obama bungle things is just too fun. :)

Iowa is only 8 months away and the Republicans need to get their act together. Even Paul knew he had to jump in because time is ticking.

    Paul isn’t going to win.

There is no need to jump in the race. Pawlenty and Cain are the only people of significance at tonight’s debate. Other than those, the rest are non-starters.

Palin is not going to win she isn’t even running. I like Paul, but not sure if I’m going to vote for him, I’m waiting to see if Daniels or Whitman will get in the race.

Your ex- rockstar Barack Obama is nothing but a reject from that old " FOX " program, " Women In Prison ".

If I were you libs I'd run him through whatever the political equivalent of CAR FAX you can find, because he's got a lot of hidden s**t wrong with him.

    Buyer Beware!

Whitman will never win a national race.

Daniels could. But don’t call yourself a tea partier if you like Paul or Daniels.

Daniels like a VAT and Paul likes to send money to his home district. He’s too isolationist. And he’s a truther.

Did I mention Palin in my post to this. I just said there are non-starters. I’ve also stated that I like multiple people – none of which have stated that they were running or not.

You seem to be a moderate so I can understand why you left the tea party. We care about fiscal sanity.

I felt like the Tea Party left me, so basically I’m a reformed Tea Party member and now I’m part of the refomers movement, but haven’t been very active. I’m a Conservative but have some moderate views on some things. At times I will give credit to the Democrats. I was big a Trump supporter but the birther side show became a big joke.

Whitman has money and Obama will have about 1 billion in his political chest, so we need to find someone who has money or has the ability to raise vast amounts of money.

With only 8 months until Iowa time is short.

I think they meant sanitorium. That’s where all these crazy “potential” Republican candidates escaped from… and will be sent back to in November, 2012. None of them have a chance.

    Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha

How can these dudes be SO DELUDED to think that they’ll make ANY type of progress in a presidential campaign. The SHEER EGO of these dudes to think they can run and their CRAZY CRAP in their past isn’t going to stick to their shoe/face?

WOW. It’s hilarious. Like Fred Thompson thinking he had a chance in he’ll

Can’t wait!!! These primaries are going to be HILARIOUS !!

  • OxyCon

When’s MessNBC going to terminate their contract with Obama?

  • insideguy

Hey serious question for the conservatives no bashing by me just wanna know what you think. Do you think the republicans are kinda starting slow on this whole campaign and if so why? It just seems to me that considering the controversy surrounding Obama that they would all be jumpin in. Or do you think they are being timid cause they dont wanna be the one getting blown out of the water. I dont know maybe i just dont remember other primaries that well but this one doesnt seem to have a bunch of eager horses rushing to get out of the gate.

Jon Stewart Checks In with Sarah Palin and Donald Trump

On the night Republican presidential contenders duked it out in South Carolina, Jon Stewart opened The Daily Show with a segment about Sarah Palin and Donald Trump, two potential GOP candidates who didn’t take part in the debate. So what are “the Tom Arnold and Roseanne Barr of the Republican field” up to

Will watching him win in 2012 be fun? I doubt it. For you, at least.

Even the possibility of a Presidential run by Gingrich or Santorum is a confirmation by each of these men that the people of the United States do INDEED easily forget major events of even the very recent past.
