Rod Blagojevich Isn’t Necessarily Going To Run For President
Here’s the news out of David Remnick‘s New Yorker interview with Rod Blagojevich: He’s not necessarily going to run for president. Oh, and David Remnick interviewed Blagojevich.
A Blago interview is always going to be a good read. And it’s not like he’s stingy about giving them out. So, really, between a hair joke and whatever crazy self-aggrandizing thing he happens to say, it’s a pretty safe bet. Even Remnick, who usually pops in for the important stuff, like America After The Election Of Obama or trips around the world with Bill Clinton or anything to do with Russia, couldn’t resist the fun of interviewing Blago because how can you lose with this piece? Blago saying something crazy + sane reporter drily responding = instant punchline.
Anyhow, the news: Rod Blagojevich is not necessarily running for president, though he does remind himself of Churchill and Nixon (that said, apparently not enough to say “I am not a crook” on The View). He also reminds himself of other people, like King Lear and Martha Stewart. Oh yes and he has funny hair. And he allegedly tried to sell Barack Obama’s senate seat. And he has a book out. There. You’re caught up.
