Chyron of the Day: Fox & Friends, Hooters Edition
Fox News, 8:59amET:
Morning Joe has Starbucks. Fox & Friends has…Hooters? At least they did this morning, as five Hooters girls made an appearance at the very end of the Fox News morning show. It’s Wingsday, people.
“It’s Wednesday, which means it’s Wingsday, at Hooters,” said co-host Gretchen Carlson. “We welcome five Hooters girls here.”
They weren’t all that welcome – only one woman got a chance to plug the Wingsday deal, before Steve Doocy had to quickly toss to the 9amET show. But the chyron at least touted the Hooters girls for the stars they are: “All from the 2010 calendar.”
Although Fox & Friends isn’t “brewed by Starbucks” the way Morning Joe is, there is some deal here. A quick look at TVEyes.com shows the Hooters girls make a Wednesday morning appearance once a month. And Doocy directed viewers back to FoxAndFriends.com for more information, where there is currently an ad for the deal prominently displayed.
Who knew Fox News and Hooters would get along so well?
